Dear friends,
Whether you celebrate lunar new year everyyear or you have never celebrated it before, we'd like to invite you tojoin us for a Lunar New Year Celebration
next Friday, February 12, 5:45pm at
the home of the John & Dotty Vanderhorst (see below for address and directions).
We'll be making and eating Chinese dumplings together! We'll also learn about some Chinese new year's traditions, and play some games! It'll be an evening filled with fun, good food and wonderful company!
Feel free to invite some friends to come along!
If you need a ride :
- For UMKC students, pickup point is at the Clock Tower, at 51st St & Oak St (by UMKC Administrative Center), at 5:00pm. Please let us know if you plan to take the ride, in that way, we can provide enough vehicles to accommodate everyone.
- For JCCC students, let us know where you want us to pick you up and we'll arrange a ride for you.

FromI-35, drive south to I-435 (or from JCCC, go directly to I-435 west).Take I-435 west to K-10. Look for the exit on the right - it comes upquickly. Drive west on K-10 for several minutes and exit on Woodland. Turn right (north) on Woodland and drive past the Falcon Ridge neighborhood and down a steep hill. Turn left on Mill Road, into the Whispering Hills area. Drive straight down Mill Road and turn left on Redbud Lane.The Vanderhorst house is the third home on the left, a big white house(8609 Redbud). Park in the driveway or on the side of the road and comein!
